As you walk through our halls, you will notice there are some added new signs/rules for hybrid learning…but our CRHS mission and vision remain the same!

What You Need to Know About Returning to School

You will move from class to class.

You will eat lunch in the cafeteria.

You will be face to face 2 days per week (roomies), on Zoom 2 days per week (Zoomies), and asynchronous on Wednesdays.

We must follow several safety precautions to make this work!

If you do not follow these precautions, you will have to stay virtual.

When you are in school, your teachers will be teaching you face to face and some of your classmates on Zoom. This will be a learning experience for all! We will make the best out of everything!

Before You Come to School, Check Yourself

If you are feeling sick, do not come to school. You can remain virtual.

Use the daily home screening magnet to assess your symptoms.

You MUST wear a mask at school at all times.

You MUST stay 6 feet away from everyone.

You will have designated seats in classes and at lunch.

You will be able to socialize – you just have to do it safely!

Every Day Preparation

Bring your charged laptop and charger in your black bag every day to school! You can keep extra supplies in there, too, such as paper, pencil, calculator, etc.

Your first period teacher will give you your locker information.

Breakfast and lunch are free for everyone! Breakfast is served in the classroom from 7:30 AM – 8 AM daily.

You must wear your own mask to school every day, all day. You can take it off to eat breakfast and lunch.

Your mask must cover your mouth and nose at all times.

General Tips and Information

If you have PE, you need to come dressed for PE. There are no PE locker rooms right now.

Stay 6 feet away from others everywhere you go in the school. Staff will be monitoring this.

If you are a car rider, you get dropped off at the front door. Drivers park in the student lot. Doors open at 7:30 AM. Right now, with the virtual schedule, you aren’t considered late until 8 AM.

If you want to remain virtual, you can.

When Do I Return?

Freshmen have already returned.

Upperclassmen group AA comes to school Monday and Tuesday starting February 16th.

Group BB comes to school Thursday and Friday starting February 18th.

The other three days of the week, you are home. Wednesday is still asynchronous and 2 days are on Zoom.

How and When Do I Eat Lunch?

Lunches are in 3 shifts in the cafeteria.

Students sit 2 to a table/bench, allowing 6 feet apart.

Students will go through the lunch line remaining socially distanced.

You can take off your mask to eat.

Lunch is free for everyone!

Who you have for 3rd period determines your lunch schedule.

When Can I Use My Hall Locker?

You can use your hall locker when you arrive, before lunch, and at dismissal time.

Bookbags, coats, and lunchboxes should remain in your locker.

Again, you can use your laptop bag to carry your laptop, charger, pens, calculator, phone, etc.

If it is not possible to remain 6 feet away, visit your locker at a different time or wait.

General Reminders

Dress code reminders – no midriffs showing, no hats, no durags, no bandanas, no excessive rips in jeans above fingertips, no undergarments showing, pants must sit at your natural waistline, nothing illegal advertised on clothing, no spaghetti straps, skirts/shorts must reach past fingertips when arms and hands are fully extended to your side.

If you are a driver, you need a parking permit. Mr. Jefferson can answer questions about parking via email or at lunch time. You do not get a permit without completing the application and paying the fee. No permit = no parking. You have the first week to get this squared away with Mr. Jefferson.

Stay off your phones during instruction and in the halls. On your phone in the hall still equals a lunch detention.

Questions?

If you have questions or concerns, email administration, counselors, or teachers.

Are things a little different? Yes, but together, we can make this return to school amazing, and we can’t wait to welcome you back!
