Welcome to our new Student Success Mentor, Mr. Jason McConnell! He and his wife Ashley were both born and raised in Federalsburg and graduated from Colonel Richardson High School. They have two teenagers - Haleigh (13) and Caden (17) - , three cats, and two dogs. He has a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching from the University of Central Florida (CHARGE ON, KNIGHTS!).
He has worked extensively with children and youth through various paid and volunteer coaching, training, and mentoring roles. Together, Mr. McConnell and his wife along with others lead 226 Student Ministries, a collaborative youth group supported by Marshyhope Church and Bridge Community Church in Federalsburg. Guiding young people toward success in every area of their lives is a huge passion of his, and he is thrilled to step into the role of Student Success Mentor for his first role in the public school system. #ColonelTOUGH #homegrown

Join our CRHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes group for this year's See You at the Pole event on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7:15 AM at the flag pole! #ColonelTOUGH #syatp

Mrs. Smith's AP Chemistry students put their scientific skills to the test with a sweet-and surprisingly challenging-investigation.
Students designed and conducted their own experiment to determine the percentage of sucrose (sugar) in bubble gum. They also performed an error analysis to evaluate their results to see which teams came closest to the accepted value. One team achieved an incredible percent error of 2.27% - an extremely accurate result. Teams then calculated the number of sugar molecules contained in the bubble gum-all using lab and problem solving skills they have been learning.
So much scientific thinking and collaboration (and bubble blowing) happened in class! #ColonelTOUGH
