Congratulations to our CRHS wrestling team for finishing 6th overall at the Easton New Year's Brawl! They competed against 18 teams across Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC. and were the top team from the Eastern Shore.

Congratulations to sophomore Ashley Fleurissaint on her fourth place finish in the Who's Number 1 wrestling tournament this weekend! This extremely competitive tournament features athletes from 50 teams, and Ashley earned a victor over the #10 ranked wrestler in the state in her weight class. Because of her hard work and strong performance, Ashley has now climbed into the top 10, securing the #10 state ranking in her weight class!
Junior Estelle Lima also delivered a standout performance, placing eighth overall in the tournament! She, too, scored a big win by defeating the #10 ranked wrestler in her weight class, showcasing her determination and competitive drive on a tough stage. Senior Dale Swann laos posted multiple wins in her weight class! #ColonelTOUGH #homegrown

Coach V is someone who truly represents service, leadership, and community. He was raised in Jonestown, Maryland, graduated from Colonel Richardson High School, and continues to enrich his community. Coach V is passionate about mentoring youth of all ages and using the game of basketball to prepare them for life. One phrase you will often hear him say is, “Endure and Conquer.” That mindset fits perfectly with the #ColonelTOUGH culture he helps build every day. It is about resilience, accountability, and refusing to quit on yourself or your team.
Beyond the court, Coach V has dedicated over 19 years of service as a federal government employee, continuing a life rooted in responsibility, commitment, and service. He also serves as the president of Jonestown Community Development Corporation, a local nonprofit whose mission is to promote rural community economic development.
His work reflects the words and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who said, “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” Coach V serves with humility, consistency, and heart. We are very grateful to have him at CRHS! #ColonelTOUGH #homegrown
