Our CRHS varsity volleyball team played a very tough match against Easton High School! Junior Jaz Jackson had seven assists, four kills, four aces, two blocks, and nine digs. Junior Aubrey Taylor had two aces and nine digs, junior Emma Brewer had nine digs, and sophomore Ella Downie had three kills and one block. Congratulations to junior Violet Cheezum for being named the CRHS nominee for the US Senate Youth Program! Violet is now competing with other students across the state to participate in the program. Congratulations to the CRHS varsity football team for their 43-6 win against Snow Hill High School! Sophomore Ja'Zir Dickerson had 13 carries for 169 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also had two receptions for 77 yards and one receiving touchdown. Senior quarterback Tako Hammond was 3 for 5 for 97 yards with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Junior Derrick Mitchell had nine carries for 108 yards. He also had two receptions for 20 yards and one receiving touchdown. Senior Collin Brewer had nine carries for 48 yards. Our CRHS cosmetology students installed pink hair extensions during lunches as a fundraiser in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! They raised $390 and half of all proceeds will be donated to support research and help for those suffering from breast cancer. The networking, marketing, technical skills, and soft skills involved in promoting this event provided the students students with the experiences and interactions needed to be successful in the industry! #ColonelTOUGH

We're excited to announce a new partnership at CRHS! Mid Shore Community Mediation Center is a local non-profit community resource serving Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot counties offering a variety of conflict management and dispute resolution services. They have various partnerships in all three counties and are excited to embark on their second year of partnership with CCPS. The mediators (also known as "The Peace Team") will be available to provide direct mediation, and other conflict management interventions, to our students and staff. Their services are voluntary and any conversations held are kept confidential (barring safety concerns). Neutral mediators guide participants through a process where they are given the opportunity to speak openly and honestly with others, the goal being to work things out and create a plan on how they would like to see things be different moving forward.
